Our Role

ABH Foundation has the role to foster local initiatives work in São Paulo’s southern outskirts through capacity building, network and grants.

Throughout our journey, we realize that “the whole is greater than the sum of its parts”!

While have realized that investing in education, entrepreneurship and innovation surely make a difference but, the greatest potential for creating real social change lies within the expansion of community development. Community development is the effort of improving the conditions of those who are living in a delimited underpriviledged territory. Our actions should always consider the community specificities with the utmost respect for their own valeus, history and background. Local development to turn needs and dreams into reality.It would lead to an awareness of local potential generating the promotion of wealth and job opportunities, all made possible by the execution of a bespoken plan.

When we work on community development, we understand that all issues such as education, health, employment level, and other environmental factors, are interdependent. Thus, by working with them as a whole, we are more likely to change the local status quo. Recognizing that the community members are the most valuable part of this construction, the participation of other actors from the public and private sectors is also very crucial.
